CHILDLINE 1098

A 24-hour, toll-free emergency outreach service connecting children in need of care and protection with immediate support and longer-term care, rehabilitation and restoration services.

TOUCH started implementing the CHILDLINE 1098 project in Narayanpet and Nagarkurnool districts with the support of CHILDLINE India Foundation, Chennai. The project team consists of nine members: one Project Coordinator, one Counsellor, six team members and one Volunteer.

  • Responding to emergency calls and physically reaching children.
  • Rescue, outreach, documentation and referral support.
  • Coordination with police, health, labour, administration and other allied systems.
  • Supporting Child Welfare Committee processes and rehabilitation.
  • Awareness on child rights and access to the 1098 helpline.
  • Community action for prevention of child marriage and school dropouts.

 Aditya Birla Education Trust (MPower)

A mental health and wellbeing curriculum designed to help school and college students understand themselves, build confidence and develop healthier emotional and social skills.

Supported by Aditya Birla Education Trust, the programme reached approximately 11,000 government school and college students across Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.

Adolescent Wellbeing & Empowerment

Yuvashakthi Project

Believing that tomorrow's women are today's adolescents, the project focuses on education, wellbeing, personal hygiene, life skills, awareness and future opportunities.

TOUCH formed 54 adolescent groups across six blocks, reaching approximately 4,300 adolescent boys and girls. The programme creates safe spaces for adolescents to discuss health, education, relationships, confidence and future pathways.

Empowering the Jogini Community

TOUCH adopted two Jogini community villages — Pulimamidi and Utkur SC Colony — with a focus on health, education, empowerment and access to government schemes.

Approximately 140 children who had dropped out of school were supported to rejoin regular education. The programme also works with women, adolescents and community groups.
